This year’s main theme will be the sporting life. The San Francisco Symphony, led by its current musical director, Michael Tilson Thomas, aims to enrich, serve, and shape the cultural life of the Bay Area communities. The SFS has been a solid fixture in providing orchestra music in major events of the community, and is also constantly travelling the world as cultural ambassadors for the Bay Area. SFS has done over 45 national and international concert tours, about 150 recordings broadcast in over 275 stations in US and Europe.
